ABOUT
Zen College Coaching focuses on the whole student and their upcoming college experience. Our approach to college choice is to help our students find a home where they will not only excel but be happy and feel at home. Our goal is to provide support to students and parents in calm and effective manner.
Started in 2023, Jo Stack and Lexi Coen are committed to helping families find the best fit for their students. Helping families through the application experience from college list creation, common app guidance and essay crafting with ease is our strength. We will act as guide in this process and allow your student to be in the driver seat.
Not all students are alike and therefore not all lists are alike. Zen College Coaching will work with your student to make sure you student finds the right fit for their after high school journey.
We are currently scheduling sessions for 2025 and 2026 graduates. Let us help you find the right fit with minimal anxiety throughout the process.

Lexi Coen
As a Westfield mom of three students, Lexi brings a strong editing and writing background to Zen College Coaching. Graduating from University of Delaware and heading to Temple University for a Masters in Journalism, Lexi spent time working in public relations and marketing for several companies including Bloomingdales, Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corporation and Stuart Weitzman before taking time to focus on raising three kids. Recently, Lexi enrolled in a college essay training with College Essay Guy and is available to craft, create and edit your students work into an incredible college application essay.
Josephine Ferrigno-Stack
Josephine Ferrigno-Stack is a long time advocate of bringing higher education to everyone. She has experience in university education and non-profit educational services.
Jo has a B.A in Government and French from Georgetown University, an M.A in Communication, Culture and Technology from Georgetown University, and has completed doctoral coursework at the University of Pennsylvania Annenberg School of Communication. She is currently completing a certificate in Independent Educational Consulting at UC Irvine. She is married with 3 children, two currently in college and resides in Westfield, NJ
